Description
Product Overview:
Our team is a big fan of the Raspberry Pi mini computer. We’re really keen to help the Raspberry Pi community develop their own Sensly device and start working on experiments whilst learning about different types of gases. We’ve developed the Sensly HAT for the Raspberry Pi. Initially launched on Kickstarter, we’re excited to provide this innovative product to makers. This is an uncalibrated version of Sensly which means you will get out a raw ADC value (resistance). Calibration will be up to you and the cleaner the air environment where calibration takes place, the more accurate the sensors will be. The BME280 temperature, pressure and humidity sensor is sold separately.
Ideas for calibration:
- Carbon scrubber in a plastic bag with your Sensly HAT. A carbon dioxide scrubber is a device which absorbs carbon dioxide (CO2). It is used to treat exhaust gases from industrial plants or from exhaled air in life support systems such as rebreathers or in spacecraft, submersible craft or airtight chambers.
- Clean Air environments like forest areas or mountains – Anywhere with as little pollution as possible.
- Exposing the Sensors to known concentrations of the target gas you would like to detect. For example exposing the MQ135 sensor to carbon dioxide to make a CO2 monitor.
